Headquartered in Los Angeles, Syel Collective was co-founded by interior designers Zoe and Marisol, both of whom earned their BFA's in Interior Design. While Zoe's passion and background lie in creating stunning interiors, Marisol brings invaluable expertise in purchasing and logistics within the luxury interior design industry.
Marisol, a Hawai'i native, began her journey in the design world by obtaining her BFA in Interior Design in California. She then ventured into the realms of purchasing and logistics, honing her skills to perfection. On the other hand, Zoe pursued her degree from NYSID and continued her career in Los Angeles, where she flourished as a talented interior designer. It was in 2013 when these two talented professionals first met and embarked on their entrepreneurial journey together.
Their combined experiences led them to work at Ohara Davies-Gaetano Interiors (ODG Interiors) and alongside renowned interior designer Kelly Wearstler for several years prior to launching Syel in 2023. Throughout this time, they had the privilege of contributing to various high-end residential and commercial projects, gaining recognition in distinguished publications such as Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, House Beautiful, Traditional Home, and Luxe Interiors & Design.
The name "Syel" is derived from Stones by Zoe and Marisol, symbolizing the company's commitment to crafting natural, organic products made from 100% stone or marble. Zoe's expertise as an interior designer, combined with Marisol's proficiency in purchasing and logistics, results in a collection of decor that seamlessly blends elegance and functionality.
As the current CEO and owner, Zoe proudly carries forward the legacy of Syel Collective's founding principles. With a clear vision for continued growth, she remains devoted to empowering other women and promoting diversity and inclusion in the design industry. Zoe's artistic touch and passion for interior design continue to be evident in every product she curates, establishing Syel Collective as a sought-after source for exquisite, one-of-a-kind stone pieces.
